Are blogging courses worth it?
Blogging courses, there are courses like that everywhere, but are blogging courses worth it?
Letโs talk about that.

The short answer is: Yes, they are.
I personally have been through my fair share of courses and to my surprise they have always either taught me something new or reminded me of something I had already learned but forgotten.
Sure, there are some products and courses out there that simply have been created for someone that knows less than you do and you assumed it would be something for you too, but that is something that happens every now and then (honestly, very rarely) with lower priced products.
Higher priced products are usually telling you if they are for you or not. Thatโs why you should always read through those long fancy sales pages some of them have. Those really help you determine if you should spend money on it. Often a curriculum or modules of the course or eBook are shown there too.
Most courses have a 30 day test phase, so that should take a bit of anxiety off of you.
Free courses often will tell you what you already learned through blog post just more condensed and put into one space, which is totally fine and pretty neat if you need a place to reference stuff.
Paid courses often have tons of extra knowledge that is not as easy to find no matter if youโre new to the topic or did some research about it. Of course a course over a certain amount of money should also show you that whatโs taught worked for others. Again, something you would find on the sales page. Itโs more helpful than we all want to think.
From the eyes of a course creator
As someone that creates eBooks and courses myself I can tell you that most people donโt just want money (although, nobody can lie that thatโs a reason too, youโre selling expertise). The goal is always to serve as many people as possible with as much knowledge as possible without making it overwhelming or too specific.
When I planned and created, for example, my course about how to start a successful blog (called โBlogging Bossbabeโ) I wrote down everything I knew for a while before putting it into a rough outline. Then I thought about which things to bring to people in a template or workbook format. Now Iโm slowly reworking the entire course with better videos, new extra content and entirely new features. This is why the โLifetime Accessโ on a course page is important for anyone out there! Anything the expert learns can be added to the course and in consequence to that also to your life and work process.
At the end of the day, if you asked me โAre blogging courses worth it?โ Iโd answer: Yes, they are. Read the sales page, see if what is taught aligns with what you want to learn and then go for it. Learning new things is never a mistake! And never miss out on the opportunity of getting freebies from the person making the course, they are a good indicator if it will help you. In my case it would be the โBlogger Starter Packโ if you want to check out some free tips on how to have a good start into blogging.
